SG Art Services
Rethinking the care of public art
What we offer:
Collection Survey
Not sure how to prioritize the care of your public art collection? We assess your art and determine collection care needs based on the current condition of your artwork.
Art Repair Logistics
SG Art Services provides project management services for large-scale art restoration projects including sub-contractor management, equipment scheduling, material orders, and quality control.
Pre-Fabrication Assessments
Minimize artwork deterioration by using the best materials for its display environment. We review plans and provide recommendations on material types, display requirements, and mounting methods to ensure maximum durability while maintaining the artist’s intent and public appreciation.
Education and Outreach
SG Art Services can provide visiting lectures and presentations to artists and art classes to help the next generation of artists select the best materials in the design of their own outdoor artworks.
Facilities Training
Ensure site staff are able to appropriately respond to damage, dirt, and vandalism. SG Art Services provides training and resources to on-site staff to mitigate damage while avoiding well-intentioned repairs using inappropriate materials.
Fine Art Appraisals
SG Art services works with the client to determine the most appropriate valuation for the project type, whether it is for insurance coverage, damage/loss claims, federal tax reporting, or collection triage.
